What Kind Of Music Is This?
by Steve Bussey
GeoSynchronous Records
What kind of music do you like? What kind of music does your band play? As much as musicians hate to do it, is necessary to put a label on your bands sound and type of music. Otherwise, how can you describe your band's sound to someone who has never heard you? Here is a list of musical styles that I have run across in the various trade magazines, fanzines, press kits, and other sources. Feel free to pick and use any you like, and you can combine several to make a new one. This list is not a complete list by any means!
